Project Details
Kelso Services was engaged to assist in the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of an integrated electronic security platform for the Gunnedah Hospital Redevelopment. The project delivered a coordinated solution comprising Gallagher access control, Avigilon CCTV, and a Jacques intercom system, ensuring the facility met stringent healthcare security and operational requirements.
Kelso Services undertook the selection of all security equipment in consultation with the client, along with the installation of all network and security field cabling across the site. A detailed CCTV field-of-view design was completed to verify coverage and performance, with all cameras networked and integrated into a new Avigilon CCTV server platform to provide centralised monitoring and recording.
The Gallagher access control system was deployed across more than 60 doors, incorporating electronic locking, door monitoring, and lockdown override functionality to support both day-to-day operations and emergency response procedures.
A Jacques intercom server was installed alongside networked call stations and answer stations throughout the facility, enabling staff to manage access and communication across departments efficiently and securely.
Additional critical safety measures included the installation of fixed duress alarms and emergency lockdown buttons, all configured for off-site high-priority monitoring, further strengthening the hospital’s security posture.
Delivered over a period of nearly two years, the project required close coordination with stakeholders and other trades within a live healthcare environment. Kelso Services’ involvement ensured the hospital received a robust, scalable, and fully integrated security solution aligned with clinical and operational needs.
