Project Details
Kelso Services was engaged by the Department of Education to deliver a complete lighting upgrade within the hall at Ben Venue Public School, improving illumination, safety, and energy efficiency across the facility.
The scope included the replacement of all existing lighting, from external weatherproof fittings through to general internal lighting, along with the design and installation of new suspended LED strip lighting to replace the large fluorescent tube fittings that previously ran through the centre of the hall.
To ensure safe delivery, Kelso Services coordinated the supply, erection, and dismantling of scaffolding, enabling works to be completed in full compliance with safety requirements while minimising disruption to school operations. The project was delivered over a two-week period.
In total, approximately 50 fluorescent light fittings were replaced with modern energy-efficient LED solutions, significantly improving light quality while reducing the hall’s overall power consumption and ongoing maintenance requirements.
The completed upgrade revitalised the space, providing the school with a brighter, safer, and more sustainable hall environment suitable for assemblies, sport, and community use.
